Biggest notch w/o cutting your bed?

I have a 95' rcsb and I'm going to notch the frame in the near future. Planning on a 4/6 but if it's anything like when I did my 2/4, I'll be back for more soon after. Bottom line is I don't want to have any issues with travel....so what's the highest a notch can go without having to cut the bed?

These fit under the bed floor on my '96 but I had to cut out the center bed support. It's about 10 or so spot welds, pretty easy to remove, just be carefull not to drill all the way through and make holes in your bed floor. These cured my bottoming problem I had with my 4/6 and the stock belltech notches. I've carried plenty of heavy loads in the bed and have not noticed any issues with removing the center bed support. These notches plus the AirRide helper bags and I've carried a measure ton of stone with my 4/6 lowered truck with no problems. These do require welding to assemble but I've heard of a member bolting in after that, Marcos I think. Mine are welded in.
