First post here, so I'll just say hello. A little background about my truck, it's a 2001 Z71 extended cab pickup, bought it back in March with 157K miles on it. Only mods done to it prior to my ownership were exhaust (Flowmaster Outlaw) and a 2" leveling kit in the front. I LOVE this truck, it's done everything I needed it to do. Right now, the only thing I have done to it is audio & radio. Currently has a Galls ST160 siren (Forgot to mention, I'm on the FD here, but it's mainly used for the PA & radio function), RS Pro-197 scanner, and Cobra 29LTD CB, two RS multi-band antennas ontop & a RS CB whip on top. Audiowise, I have a Sony H/U (temp), Clarion EQ, Big 3 1/0 wire, 4 Sundown Audio SA8v1's on a single APSM1500, wired to 0.5 ohm (temp 'till I buy a second amp), Crescendo CCX front door speakers, Sony rear door speakers, and Memphis PR 6x9's in the rear window (temp).
Current plans for the truck are:
3-6" suspension lift
Dual Kinetik batteries
1/0 front-rear
4 pairs Crescendo MP6's with 2 pairs supertweets
4 SA8 v2's under the rear seat
2 Audiopipe APSM-1500's, one per pair
3 SounDigital 400.4 mini amplifiers, one per set of doors & one for all 4 supertweets
Custom center console housing P25 VHF radio (for FD and amateur radio) & scanner
Laptop mount (for railfanning/pizza holder, haha)
I plan to keep the truck as stock as possible, aside from some light engine mods (CAI, headers, etc.) The truck looks great as is. Would post links but don't have enough posts just yet, but look for "iceman977th" on Youtube. Hoping to make some new friends here and learn a whole lot more than I already know.
