Elec Trans tempature gauge

I was wondering how someone has wired up a electronic tranny temp gauge. I think i could splice off a wire in the PCM, because you can use the Tech 2 scanner to read the tempature of the transmission... so you should be able to wire into the PCM correct?

Don't know about the PCM connection, but I have put a temp probe in a pan before.
