Stereo & speaker install

Recently tried to install an aftermarket headunit into my truck . Used an harness adapter pretty sure I made all the right connections. When I went to test it I had no sound from any speakers. Put the old headunit in and sound works. Except for the front speakers.
So how hard is it to put new speakers in?
Used gmos-04 harness.
2006 gmc sierra reg cab. Base model
what would cause the speakers to not work?

GMOS-04 is for factory amplified (Bose) models. Non-amplified trucks will use the GMOS-01 instead. Replacing the speakers in these trucks is very simple

If you used the wrong harness, you would have wired it up wrong. Use the right one for your truck and it will work fine. And as stated above, replacing the speakers is VERY easy. A few hidden screws in the door, one or two in the rear (if that), and just pop the panels off. Easy enough.

Summit county. I have it wired correctly (i think). When I connected everything I connected everything to test it out and got sound from the back only. I know my fronts are shot. But t the sound in the back was very quiet. Almost charlie brown teacher like. But when I switched the rca imputs around the sound came in alittle better in one speaker.

Does your truck have the factory Bose system? If not, then it's the wrong harness which means it cannot be wired correctly. If it does have Bose, then you should not say base model in your first post then turn up the small blue potentiometer on the side of the GMOS module.

So Bose or non-Bose?
