I have a 91 rcsb and I need a bench style to fit my family. I have 454ss style buckets in there but had a bench originally before I bought the truck. What do i need to do to fit a 01 style seat in my truck. Please help I think I can pick the seat up for cheap money and I would like to try to get it this weekend.

Your mounting points won't line up, so you'll have to drill new holes in the floor using the new seat as a template. You're also going to want to reinforce the underside of the floor with at least some flat stock to keep your hardware from pulling through or elongating the new holes.

I don't recall hearing much about risers in regards to the seat swaps. Might just be a personal preference thing. The risers I've heard more about in regards to the '99+ is for the back seats in the extended cabs to give more room for speaker enclosures. But that's in the original truck, not for a swap like you're doing.
