anyone have hooker headers on their 5.3? i was curios to how they would perform in compaired to pacesetter

visually they look a lot different hookers look more compact than the pacesetter ones do but id need a whole different Y pipe as i currently have a set of pacesetters but probably going to buy a ceramicoated set and sell these ones i got now with or without Y pipe, (hate not buying ceramic ones first -.- sucks but thats life of modifyin cars)

anyone have experience?

from the looks of it the hooker headers would perform better since their y pipe is one peice and welded up and the only connection between the headers and y is held on like stock with gasket and 3 bolts instead of slip connections

Pacesetter performs much better...the hookers are 1-5/8" primaries and pacesetters are 1-3/4"....the hookers might make power more in the low end, more torque...but overall I think you would be much happier with Pacesetters, I'm putting Pacesetter Longtubes and ORY on my truck this Tuesday

EDIT: If you're talking about shorty headers, none of them will perform any better than ur stock manifolds....shorties do nothing on 99+ trucks

I'm running pacesetters on my 94 5.7 - perfect fit - good performance - very happy
