I have been doing a lot of shopping around for cab corners and rockers for my 2000 Silverado with the 3rd door. I found a place online that will give me the cab corners (including the the longer driver side corner) and the rocker panels for both sides for just about $250 shipped. This seems to be the best price I have been able to find so far, but I thought I would get everyones opinion, just in case I missed something, before I decided to buy from this place. Does anyone know of anything better or cheaper? Thanks a lot guys.

Any other tips I should/need to know about doing this repair before I start this would be appreciated as well!

One more thing... Are there any good tech articles on this? I cant seem to find anything.

As they say, experience is everything and I know a lot of you guys have it when it comes to this.

That's a reasonable price.

A few threads down, I did a write up on the cab corners for a OBS.

Use a spot weld cutter for any spot welds. Eastwood sells them. You can get away with a regular, metal drilling bit, but the spot weld cutter doesn't damage the underlying panel as bad. In addition, the cutter is the perfect size for domestic spot welds.

Use .023 wire if you plan to weld. Hopefully, you've got a gas welder. The flux on flux core wire can come back to haunt you down the road if you don't get it removed.
