Aftermarket alarm question.

Hopefully this is the right forum. I didn't get any info from the installation Tech or the manual so my question is, what is the little switch that is located at the very bottom of my dashboard? It wasn't there before the install. Thanks.

That is usually a valet switch, it can be used to disable the alarm.
