It's been 3 years since we've had a GM truck in the family, so I'm hoping it's OK to come back!

Picked up what I think is a terrific deal on a two owner 2000 Suburban. It's nothing out of the ordinary for the most part. Half-ton, white on tan leather, CD player that skips bad, front and rear AC, has both front power seats and the small console (the one that doesn't go all the way to the dashboard), and that's all I knew until this morning. Just ran the Compnine VIN decoder on it and put it on my insurance policy. It also has some things not mentioned in the eBay listing or the CL ad, like the full Z82 trailering package, G80 positraction, 3.73 gears, HD trans cooler, high capacity air cleaner, and more. For $3100 and having 173,000 miles, I think it'll do great for us over the next 2-3 years.
What I really want for a family hauler is a 2007+ Yukon XL (not Denali) in black on black. But maybe in a few years that can happen.
We may be heading down to get it tomorrow or Friday. Not sure which day yet but if it's Friday, it's the seller's anniversary so he won't be available after 3pm. We'll see how it goes.
It will need tires soon, they're down to 1/3 tread life so it's probably pretty squirrely in the rain. I'd love to get Michelin LTX's for it, but not sure the wife will be ok spending $900 on a set of tires. The Hankook H724s we put on her Durango are doing very well and cost under $400 installed so I may see if they come in the LT245/75R16 size. If not I know Hankook has a few other models that are more like $130/tire and that should work out OK.
