Hard shell? Soft?

I was talking to snug top yesterday about one. I want the lowest profile sleekest hard cover I can find. One that can be remotely opens. When i find one it will be getting a mural painted on it and then the box will be carpeted and so on.

Snug Top is about $1000 that they quoted me.

What are the hard ones made of - I assumed all hard covers were made of fiberglass!
