'88 to '98 short bed 2500

I was wondering what year Chevy started the 6.5' bed on the crew cab 2500 & 3500 trucks? Also was there a diesel in them & which diesel?

1999+2000, only 2 years of obs ccsb. I've only seen these trucks with 5.7 and 7.4 motors.

They started short bed crew cab after 95, and the diesel engines were 6.5 non turbo I believe.
