Can you even feel the 10" subwoofer in that huge suburban? lol

Where did you get those speaker pods from?

I was shocked how hard it hit. Only has 300w going to it. Makes you wonder what a wall would sound like....
Here are the kick panels. They worked out great and I still have the function of my e-brake.

A wall would be crazy! I just put 4 12s in my yukon, it's loud with just 4-500 watts. I still need to buy a new amp.

I just noticed the box is ported, that makes a big difference.

I have a 2nd 10" sitting in the garage and a dual ported box but I lost too much room in the back. I don't want to take out the 3rd row seating when I have my German Shepherd with me. Plus my amp really only has the power to push the one. So I have a backup. I've had crazy systems before so all I was really going for was something that sounded good and not break the bank. Overall I'm really happy. I'll change out the Kenwoods eventually. They were given to me by a friend.

Your setup looks great!

Just curious, I went to look at installing a new stereo in my 88 burban today and found that the rectangle where the actual buttons and display come out is way narrower than the new radios that I have found for sale. Do you just cut it out to make it fit?

Thanks!

Yes. Mine had the dual shaft style radio. I used a dremel tool for cutting and it went through the metal and plastic like it was butter. Just buy a dash kit from eBay and it should have a template. Measure 10x's cut once!

I think an '88 is different than my '87. I think its just a dash kit without any cutting. It seems that way looking at the kits on eBay.
