Hello everyone! This is my first thread. I'm installing a CB radio and scanner as I will be doing volunteer emergency work this summer after I get my A-EMT license (one more test this Wednesday). I'd like the radios for fun, although my friends and I use CB's when we go mountain biking\hiking. I've got everything figured out except for ONE STUPID DETAIL. This one will make you guys laugh, WHERE THE HECK SHOULD I PUT THEM????? I have a 2006 standard cab 1500. NO center console. I've googled 2 options, but maybe someone here will have some sort of miracle idea or something clever. Also I don't want to start a billion posts, but any suggestions for a grille that looks clean and stock but of chrome? Where to get one??? Thanks! (I'll get a pic of the truck up in a bit due to I have to post 3 more times to be able to post links...)

I don't have a center console (yet), but here is how I have mine mounted.

They sell a floor mount for the hump for a cb radio. I have 2 2011 crew's with cb's. Mount the ant on the bed for the most clear and best range with the radio I have had it multiple places and that is the best.

Here is how I did my amateur radio 2 meter rig. Put a couple of aluminum bars in the delete pocket. They are drilled & tapped for the mounting screws.

My floor mount.
I put a thin wood board and bracket on the back of my bench seat and I have my scanner and amp mounted there, My CB is mounted on my B pillar pretty much over where the speaker is. And the Mic mounts to the back of the cab.

My floor mount.
I have the identical mount...works great beside that floor shifter. I think I paid less than 20 bucks for it on Fleabay...
