05 chev rubber floor, ideas to make it look better?

I was originally looking for a LT, but came across a 05 chev extended cab with km's and a price that is hard to say no to. But it has the ugly rubber/plastic floor.

Anyone swap carpet into theirs, or have any ideas how to make it look better?

Dont know how good you are with fab or how much time you have, but ive see people put the chrome diamond plate where the feet rest. Its durable and wont rub through like the rubber crap. You can also swp carpet like you said, but i have never seen it done.
