What do ya'll do with the back wall? Ive finally yanked my seat out after having it folded up for the last two years. Figured if I aint used it by now I dont need it and wanted more room for subs.
Anyway, I want to yank out that nasty oe noise suppressant crap but the sheetmetal behind it isnt exactly show quality either. Seems like a giant pain in the butt to custom cut something out to cover which would be all the more necessary to hide the plywood my amp ismounted to as well as any sound deadener I add.

I know there's people who have ditched their seats. No input from anyone?
Thinking I'll pull sub amp down off rear wall and build a false floor for both amps to mount to. Still leaves problem of ugly damper on rear wall though

you could always do something like dynamat then cover over that with carpet or do like a false back wall with wood.

I put a big ol' box in front of it for 4 12s. (NNBS)
I remember removing the seats & noticing that they blocked a good bit of noise.
Don't tear out the sound deadener. If anything, add to it before making a beauty panel. I did a complete layer of Damplifier Pro and put the stock piece back over it.

Yeah truck is noticeably louder. False wall is a good idea. Definitely will add more deadener first.

Last summer I walled my truck with 4 15's, All I did was RAAM mat on the back wall. Take the time to cut dummy panels to fit contours, it'll make it look a lot better.

How fancy do you want to get? Either way the goal is to blend it into the stock interior.
There are so many ways to do it. You could leave your amps mounted to the plywood and make a panel to cover everything, but cut openings for the amps to poke through.
What does your sub box look like? Are you keeping it or building new? All this amp rack / false wall stuff could be incorporated into a new box.

Box I have in now is temporary. Houses a single 12" eclipse ti
Building new one for two12" idmax's which will be just a rectangle shape. 4.5 cubes
I had planned on keeping the false wall separate but maybe if I draw something up that looks good as one piece that might be the way to go.
