I've got an 88 K2500 that I recently replaced almost the entire brake system on - front calipers & pads, all rubber hoses with stainless, most of the fittings & hard lines, rear wheel cylinders and every single parking brake cable (all cut for some reason). Now that I actually have a parking brake, I've been using it fairly regularly, but a couple of times I've completely forgotten that it's on & drove a couple miles before I realized it. For some reason, the brake idiot light isn't coming on, not sure if the wire to the pedal sensor is cut, if the bulb is burned out or (most likely) the p/o removed the bulb to keep it from lighting up rather than fix the problems. That got me wondering which idiot light is where, so if anyone can help id the pic, I'd appreciate it.

Looks like its #7. If you get a flashlight and shine it on the gauges you should be able to faintly see what each light is.

Thanks! I looked in the sticky thread on LEDs & didn't see it, but I don't think I saw that thread. I tried the flashlight trick with no luck, but maybe I just didn't get the right angle.

Now after looking at those pictures I'm tempted to do the LEDs myself.

If you end up having to replace the bulb you can shine a flash light from the back side where bulb sticks in. Other than that maby someone else will chime in this time.
