first post on FSC!
When my stock radio s on; whether its the cassette player or the radio, i get a high pitch squeal through my speakers that changes as the RPM's do. Is the radio just bad? or is it a bad ground, and if so where would that ground be located?
Any Ideas?

Sounds like a bad ground, it could be the battery to frame or radio to frame. Could also be a connection in the radio itself. Run a wire from the metal radio chassis to a good clean ground point see if that helps you.

Years ago we used to get in a lot of CK truck with radio interference and one of the shop techs found that GM routed the antenna cable next to the pcm behind the glove box. He would re-route the antenna cable down under the heater box and tuck it behind the carpet and then back up to the radio box above the gas pedal to help reduce interference. Another common issue was water coming down the lead in cable from the antenna base on the fender. The antenna base cable connects to the main cable under the hood near the coolant overflow jug so take it apart there and check for water and/or green corrosion.
