okay i know this may sound stupid and commonly asked but on my 90 chevy standard cab, the radio sucks and i just bought a nice kenwood radio. my question is, i dont really wanna splice wires and such so im gonna take my old radio out and buy a wiring hookup from walmart. my problem is, am i supposee the mount the radio under the air vents in the middle? and what will i use to fill in the where the old radio went? thanks!

Dashkit = 99-3000 available in all factory colors. If you want a pocket to fill in where the factory radio was, it's 88-00-3301. There is a tunerbox above and to the right of your gas pedal, unplug the standard chevy 70-1858 harness and run it to the center where the new radio will reside.

Look above your gas pedal, youll see a silver box, the plugs you need are on top of that box along with your antenna.
