5.3 headers?

I have an 06 5.3 vortec and I'm wondering what headers are good. I have a few headers for older Chevy small blocks laying around the shop but I don't know if they'd fit.

Dynatech are good. They are long tube and come with high flow cats and O2 bungs already welded on.

Sb Chevy headers won't fit, you will have to get some pacesetter, kooks, or dynatech or other longtubes for ls style engines

Been running my pacesetter longtubes for about 5 years now, never a leak or problem.

Low...how far do long tubes hang down under these trucks? Are they still tucked up in the frame rails? Im looking to redo my exaust sometime as i have a leak near the manifold. Any chance i can get a pic? My truck has a 4/6 so i want to make sure they will tuck.

You will be fine, I'm at 3/6 with a little 27" tire and my framerails are about 4-4.5" from the ground and nothing hangs below the frame....the off-road y pipe does come close where it crosses over under the trans but still higher than the frame...Ill go snap a pic right now and post it

Ya...then post up pics and results..lol :cool:. . Im going to be putting some on this fall and redo the rest of the exhaust.

Just picked up these for $100 off my local CL. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HOK-2253HKR/?rtype=10. Going to try to get them to fit on the 04. I'll post up pics if they do.

As soon as i get some brakes back on the 90..and get it off the lift it will be a go. I've read alot of threads about fitting F body headers on the 2wd nbs but none that used these particular headers. Mostly kooks and tsp. I think a few ran stainless works as well. Most guys that are running these f bodys were doing it for the larger primaries (before they started making large primary truck headers). Im not going to lie tho...i bought them because they were cheap...lol. They are sold if they dont fit anyways...so i really have nothing to lose.
