What is the loudest glasspack i can go with?
The ones i have now are 20 inches I think... should i just get a shorter glasspack?

Any information would be helpful at this point.

Thanks Dan

Shorter would definitely be louder, as for which is "best" I think all straight-through glasspacks are pretty much the same.

Purple Hornys. They may not be any better, but they're retro and they say "horny." That should be worth a few horsepower.

Yes shorter= louder. I would say Cherry Bomb, and I believe the shortest they make is 8in.?

TheBigMortboski - i looked at those purple hornies and they only come in 18" so i think thats a little big, otherwise i would try em out

Would a glasspack on a truck with cats still have that farty/clacky sound like you hear on older trucks with glasspacks? I know it will still sound similar I just want to kill that harsh higher pitched sound.

depends on the set up, most still do have that sound. what year is your truck?

I have all stock manifolds/cats that go to dual glasspacks now and if you rev it enough i still get crackly sound...even like coming off the interstate i get some crackling.

Lol don't get me wrong, I love the crackle, just not at lower rpms while cruising. I think having dual cats and a Y to a single glasspack should help with the low end crackle.

I still want it to scream at texting bimbos as I pass them though.
