Metra Axxcess ASWC Steering Wheel Interface in 2004 Chevy..Need Help

Just wondering if anyone has one of these interfaces that they've installed themselves? The instructions they came with are not very good at all.... and just looking for someone who has maybe done it that could help guide me through it.

black to ground (same as the radio is fine), red to ignition (same as the radio is fine) and pink to the data wire (if your using a module it might be purple/white or maybe the only color your not using or that doesnt match up). Then as soon as you turn it on and the red light on the aswc flashes quickly start tapping the volume up button slowly. After a few seconds the LED will flash a few codes and it should be good.
