Is anyone running a 3 inch pipe with a 4 inch tip?? or is anyone running a 3 inch pipe with a 5 inch tip?
Would a 3 inch pipe with a 5 inch tip look too akward?
Please post some pictures if anyones got anything like this setup. I would like to see it before i do it!
Thankss Dan!

Ahh i never thought of searching youtube!! but thank you for your input.
Im going to put it out in front of the passenger side tire so it will kind of be hidden a little so you wont see that much of it.
But 5s would look pretty bad you think?

Dump it after the rear axle.
If you must have tips, anything above 3.5 looks retarded unless its a diesel.

If you have to run tips 3.5 is big enough. Just keep them clean so they wont look dull and ****ty after a few months.

Whatever you do, get some long tips and weld them in. Don't be all ghetto with a 4 or 5 inch wide, 6 inch long clamp-on tip... With the stock pipe showing through... I see it all the time around here. Usually paired with plastic chrome rim covers. :bhb:
Droeder10
06-21-2012, 03:31 PM
Nahh it wont be the stock pipe at all and im for sure going to get weld on tip.

Yea big tips look dumb IMO, I have a 3" (2.50 inlet) tip on 2.25" pipe.(4.3l v6) it cleans up the look of the truck because its not real short so you dont see where it welds onto the pipe and my exhaust exits infront of the rear tire so all you see is the tip, you should look into smaller tip, the point of any tip is to clean up the look of your truck not make it try to make it look like it has a 5" exhaust....

No tips on my 99 Sub. The chrome will end up chipping and rusting sooner than later. Especially where they salt the roads in the winter.

IMO i like the look of the diesel style tips (4.5 or 5in.) if you run then at 45 coming out the back
