Last Friday I bought an Isimple dualink GM5 and XM radio from a stereo shop where I used to live in Enid. Anyway got it installed and thought everything was working ok until I tried to add my Ipod into the mix. Originally I had my XM radio hooked in AUX 1 and when I hit BAND on the stereo and went around to AUX1 the XM radio would play through the stock radio just fine. Per the instructions for the dualink it says connect the Ipod to AUX1 and the XM radio to AUX2. So I did that the Ipod will play through the speakers but I have to control the music with the Ipod, the stock head unit won't do it. If I go to AUX2 it doesn't play anything then switches back to AUX1. Per the instructions all I should have to do is turn the key to accessory, wait 3 minutes, then hit band and then tune until I get to Ipod and select it. Well none of that works. The instructions are very vague and seem to not really apply to a GM stereo. Any ideas?
