I tried searching but had no luck. When I bought my 84 k10 the guy threw in a set of rust free power doors, I want to convert them to crank. I took the non-power regulators and glass out of a set of doors I had. The problem is that I am having trouble removing the regulators/guts out of the power doors. It was fairly easy to get them out of the non-power doors though. Also I can't push the power windows down by hand.
If anyone has any tips or tricks I'd greatly appreciate it. :bowtie:

I did it awhile ago(12yrs) but don't quite remember the whole process. The removal of the power regulator involved the careful use of an angle grinder and cut off wheel. To get the window down, you'll most likely have jump the switch w hair pins. Check CK5.com

Whats the angle grinder and cut off wheel for? Sounds like a pain in the ass.

Not really that much of a pain. Take the door panel off and you'll see the power regulator. I cut the arms off and pulled it all out through the big hole in the door shell. I'm positive that's not the right way to do it, but I wasn't that patient and my motors were junk anyway. No point in trying to save them. Good news is once the power guts are out,all the manual stuff is a direct bolt in. What year is your truck and what year is the donor parts from? You will need that info because the thickness of the glass changed in '86 I think. Don't remember for sure what year but it did at some point. Compare if you can and if there's a difference, you'll need the window channels(?).
You won't need to worry about all that if your keeping your glass, though.
