So I just purchased a pair of ESK 6.5 comps. I have a 99 silverado NBS for the year regular cab.

This will be my first time installing speakers. I was hoping someone on here has installed these in a GM truck before. I have done tons of searches on car audio forums with no luck...in hopes of finding out if I need to construct some spacers for these, or purchase some sort of bracket.

I also wasnt sure wether to just stick the new tweeter in the factory location in the door, or if I would be better off placing it up on the a-pillar or drill a spot in the sail panel.

Ill be running these of an Alpine F300 amp. I also have a 8' kicker sub on the way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Im not familliar with those speakers but unless they are un godly deep you shouldnt need spacers. Ive got my tweeters in the factory spots, sounds great to me.

Not sure of the depth, But I'm pretty sure I've put a set of alpine type R's in one of those. Fit guide says depth is 4 inches...

I have a set of Sundown neo pro6.5's mounted directly to my doors and they are 3"...you might be OK

You will be fine without spacers, but I would definitely consider deadening the door to keep the mounting surface from resonating.
