97 k1500 door speakers

I know the stock speaker is 6.5", but I was curious as to whether or not I could run 6x9" speakers in the door instead. I have power windows and locks, and I want to cut out the hole but am worried about it interfering with the regulator or something in the door. Any tips advice? Thanks

I Decided to tear apart my door panels and measure. My 6x9 Pioneer is too deep. and the mounting would have to be at a diagonal to avoid the window lift motor. I'm sure there's a way to make it work, but I'm not trying to do that much work

I have a 93 extcab and I have 6x9 in my front doors. I just would do what I did, and that is get a really deep speaker. I had to use a 1.5 inch spacer and I had to trim the metal behind the panel......but man that sound sweet

I'll consider it. did you have to mount the 6x9s at a diagonal?
