i am swapping a 468 into my '88 rcsb. i need some underhood pics for some references on stuff. i've been lookin and find pics of everything but underhood. the engine WILL be carbed also. the truck currently has a 3.5" trad body drop also! thanks!

3rd picis good but needed in a 88-98. closeness to radiator and tall valve covers to brake booster, etc, etc

My cousin had an 88 GMC 3500 series with a TBI 454 and TH400 from the factory and it had the old Mark IV stuff on it. The TBI unit was giving him problems, we ended up pulling the adapter and bolted a Quadrajet right to the factory intake and eliminated all the other sensors and stuff that weren't needed. He got a high-flow adjustable regulator with a return line on it and used it to cut the pressure down to single digit numbers for the carb application with the factory fuel pump. It ran great but always had the "replace engine soon" light on. His truck also had hydraboost instead of a vacuum booster. He ran taller sheet metal valve covers on it with shorty headers and a modified Y pipe to clear the 6" suspension lift and to fit to the header collectors. In your case you'd probably want to run shorty headers with the 3.5" drop. Do you plan on running a large cap early HEI or a small cap, or maybe something other than a factory GM distributor?

what are you lookin for? its a bbc, they came factory with bbcs. everything will fit. did you z your front end? short aircleaner and dual plane intake you might keep stock hood.
