What is the best way to run the power cable from the battery into the cab?

Use an existing rubber grommet, or drill a hole, just make sure you are clear of stuff when drilling. Double,triple check before drilling...

If your truck is automatic, there should be a spot perfectly clear where your clutch linkage would be run through the firewall. Just make sure to use a grommet
