Hey fellow forumers. Name is B, just picked up a 99 nbs its like my 5th z71, but the newest I've had yet. It's got 274k on the clock. It's got its small problems I'm gonna work on the most annoying first. I'm lost with this one, I put the key in and it won't turn, it seems sometimes after messing with it a bit it finally turns and I can start it. Anyone have ANY ideas.

Do you mean the starter isnt turning the engine over? Does it click or do nothing at all? Have you tried jumping the solenoid when it wont turn over?

How worn is the key? If the key isn't too bad, just the lock cylinder will take care of it

The key is worn I found out I have to push the key itself up and turn at the same time and it turns every time. So looks like ill be spending $51 at AutoZone on a new cylinder and key set. Just gotta figure out how to get the new keys to fit the door so I still have only 1 key.
