Im tossing around the different road blocks of swapping a lq9 and 4l65e into my 98 k1500, and here is one thing that Im just curious about. I know i need to get the 6.0 ecu programmed for my tire size and gear ratio, and I also want to delete the rear O2 sensors. But my question is will a Black Bear tune or Nelson tune be able to program my ECM to be drive by cable instead of the drive by wire it will come as? I want to be able to use my stock 98 cruise control module because i am leaving in my stock 98 ECM to control non-engine related functions. Also, will the sensors that are on a DBW throttle body fit right on a DBC throttle body?

thanks for your help

You should beable to get the pcm tuned for the drive by cable and just swap to a older throttle body. I would recommend you do a 0411 pcm swap and that way you only have the one pcm controlling everything. Seems like it would be much easier and make for a cleaner install.

so the 0411 pcm can run my gauges and the 6.0 and trans? i was just thinking i would run the 6.0 ecu all by itself just for the motor and just use all the sensors from the old motor to operate the gauges.
