I know this is an older post, but just in case anyone else has this problem........
We had this problem with my son's Corvette. We tried everything including re-indexing of the blend door motors without success. Then, we found out (no matter how strange this sounds) that if the system is down a little on freon, the driver's side vents will indeed blow hot air. I still haven't figured this one out. However, we evacuated and recharged the A/C system and everything was working fine again. I have installed and serviced automotive A/C systems since 1970 and this is the first time that I have encountered this. I found the answer on the Corvette forum and gave it a try. Voila!! It worked!
