View Full Version : Second post here.
I found the introductory thread :3g: I am new here. I am not new to forums. I grew up working on all sorts of vehicles, mowers, mini bikes, go carts, golf course equipment, tractors...anything I could get my hands on. I am a Wyoming Tech graduate and only worked for a dealership for a year and a half. Now, I work on all my vehicles: 94 Jeep Wrangler S, 95 GMC Jimmy SLT, 92 Chevy 2500 Suburban and a 98 Chevy 2500 Silverado 6.5 diesel. The Silverado is for sale and is not your ordinary 6.5 diesel. PM me for details. I just got a very clean 92 Suburban 2500, 5.7 tbi, 4l80e, 4.10 gears, trailer package and I finally got a vehicle with A/C. Other than that it is more than basic. It was owned by a fire department since new. 114k on the odometer. 3" cat back exhaust is the only mod so far. I am having issues with the oil pressure gauge and water temp gauge. It is definitely a gauge problem for the water temp. It has been 100+ and driving it with out over heating. Oil pressure is a different thing. Have not been able to get a mechanical gauge on it yet to see if it is reading true. I do have a sending unit I am going to throw in. I have run seafoam through both the gas and engine oil. I will be doing a more thorough flush with some Amsoil detergent in about 50 miles. I look forward to being here.

Welcome to the forum! Good to hear we have another mechanically inclined person to add their input. It's always good to have knowledgeable people around.
Hope to see some pics of the rigs sometime. :D
I don't think I am allowed to post pics yet. Thanks for the welcome. El Segundo huh. I only drove through your area twice. I lived 2 hours (Twin Turbo Supra hours :naughty:) west of you in Indio, Palm Desert and Indian Wells. Love southern California.
Today I flipped the air cleaner top on the Burban. All I have to say is this......
This engine is begging for more air in the higher RPMS and especially at WOT. Can't wait to see what happens after the throttle body mods.

I want to say posting pics is available after like post # 10 or 15 or something. Im not too sure. Go find some Projects and Builds threads and check out what people are doing and give them some kudos on their hard work. Your post count will pop up as you do.
Ah, sweet. I go out there every year for Stagecoach country festival (and occasionally for random trips to a vacation rental my family has there) Good times in the desert. Hot as crap out there, but as long as I can find a pool at some point all is well. haha. :D
I always wondered if that flip the top mod really helped that much.. Guess so! hah. Nice.
