I have a 92 C3500 with a 7.4 454 in it.
I want to remove the TBI system and put a 4 barrel carb on it, has anyone swapped out their manifold? If so, which one did you use?
I DON"T want to change the TBI manifold, I want to get rid of it altogether.....
Thanks

Your ports are too small for anything but a tbi manifold.
I use an O port RPM Airgap, Lingenfelter ports, and a TBI at about 60psi.

Look on summit racing. Thier search engine is actually pretty good. I did this in about 2 min and it narrowed it down to 44 different ones that would work. You can narrow it down more if you know the exact type of carb you want to use, and the style you want.

Lol, thats usually my default place to search. It does a good job with what will fit certain things and you can go by engine or vehicle. Hell even if I'm going to buy from Jegs or somewhere else I'll still look up and find the right part on summit first lol.

If your heads are stock, they're peanut ports. A Performer is the one that'll match up to your ports best. If you plan to rev it, pick one with large ovals but blend the heads to the intake.

Yes, but the peanut ports are small ovals so if you just slap a standard oval port intake on it you will have a pretty good step all the way around that will screw up the air flow. So like busted said, you want to make sure you blend the ports on the head to match up with the intake.
You won't really gain a ton of HP or top end, but it should be nice and torquey.

ok awesome thank you. im basically just looking to keep this motor stock, other then putting a carb on it, (which is the only reason i need the intake) so im not looking to really gain any power past stock for now. all i know is itll be better to tow with then my 350 lol.
