hey i jus got a 98 z71 ECSB i need to change the exhust as its a bit rusty and worn out i want to run headers 2 cats into glasspack or turbo mufflers all in 3 in pipe is there a kit for this or must i buy the parts n get it custom built?

I would not do 3 inch pipes, you don't want to over pipe it because you will kill your low end torque. 2 1/2 should be the largest in a system like that. are doing a x pipe? I would just have a shop bend something up with there piping. Unless you are making huge power then the restriction from the pressure bend wont matter.

Dual 2.5" and use an X or H pipe. "True dual" is such a stupid term, the pipes SHOULD be converged correctly at some point.
A 3" single is probably a better overall performer.

"true duals" was just used because some people see two tips and call that dual exhaust. Having a single 3" pipe will give you a smother sound and the "true duals" will a dare I say old school sound. Meaning you will hear the pulses of exhaust with more ease.

if you are going to pick one get a x pipe. but not having one is as rough as it will ever sound. once you combine pulses it becomes smoother.

i decided to go 2.5 inch with x pipe and flowmaster front to back into 4.5 inch tips

it sounds great works way better than the shot stock gettup n got my some pwr n milage bc it flows better
