I have a Viper 5701 with remote start and a proximity sensor. It's also has a two way remote that lets me know the status of the alarm. Viper, Python, and Clifford are just a few made by DEI and all pretty much have the same features. They also have lots of different add on options and sensors. Love my Viper, will be adding on the auto window feature here shortly.

Viper, Clifford are apart of the same company. I personally Like the quality of the receiver and alarm that I get from Viper. Autopage is defiantly low on my list but you gotta start somewhere I guess. Also Compustar is another good one, Best part about it is that the manufacture issues Lifetime warranty's on all products I believe. Mom and Pop shops usually sell compustar. But Like I said I would pay the $200 Extra for Viper only because the quality I have seen and installed has always been to par with my expectations.
BTW
Viper Remote start runs: $178-$600 and you can get SMARTStart so you can use your cell phone in Denver to lock your truck in Dallas :) its a nice little addon
Compustar Runs: $50-$400
Expect Install to cost around $250 depending on the shop and quality of work.
Hope this helps!
