Radio swap

i have a 2008 GMC Seirra 2500 HD with a factory bose system, [with knobs etc,] and have the chance to purchase a bose touchscreen system with navigation/dvd built in. I'm wondering if it would work if i made the swap, and what i would have to do to make the swap if it would work?

the touch screen bose is out of a 2007 chevy tahoe.

I don't know for sure if the wiring will be the same.... But if it does plug in you need to take it to a dealer to have them program the new radio to your trucks VIN... Metra's website lists the same aftermarket harness for both trucks...
