Hey all, I got a line on a full set (3 rows)of 04 tahoe leather seats on the cheap. I know I can make the front captains work with minimal effort and possibly the 2 row, but I'm concerned aboutis the third row. My Burb had the option, so the rings in the floor are there, but I don't have the seat, so I can't swap brackets. Has Anyone done any kind of swap like this? I know going up a generation is fairly simple, but I want to jump what? 4 generations? Any info about the seats would be welcomed.

Well, the answer I found isn't the one I was hoping I'd hear and I'm guessing it's why nobody was very forthcoming here. I got in touch with theburb on youtube, he owns the bright orange bagged 87'. He had to do extensive floor pan modification to get the front seats to fit. What he ended up doing is taking out the hump that the seats fit onto, welding in a new pan that sits flush with the floor... otherwise any of the NBS seats are just too tall to clear the steering column. So our options are a seat re-cover or lots of welding.

SWEET nothing like cutting all the floor pan out just to get the seats to work. :BULL: Well I have actually just finished my first semester of welding so... I have seen a few pics of Burbans with Captians front AND center. I wonder how bad that was to do? I'll keep you posted if you do the same. ;) GL

There is another website with kind of a write up I found... it's on the same model C-10 truck, so not much difference, at least front seat wise.
