im wanting to put a 350 in this firebird but i only have 305 heads what do i need to do to get this to work.

Head gaskets, and head bolts. Not optimal heads, but they will allow it to run.

Yeah, they flow like crap, but they'll bolt up.

its a waste of time to put the 305 heads on, it will run that way but wont be fun at all, i would try looking on craigslist or junkyard, pull a cheap set and take em to a machine shop to get magged and fluxed shouldnt cost more than a few hundred bucks

You can port them out and they will flow 'ok' but there no real winner in any respect except for a 305/331. Stock there not going to pull past 4k ontop of a 350. The second problem is compression, which will be too high for 87 octane, and will require 93 octane to run and not ping...

You can find 350's on craigslist all the time.

Unless they are the 305 HO heads, installing them on your motor will only restrict it. the HO heads can be worked into pretty decent heads.
