New shocks a must?

When putting the 2/4 drop on my truck with coils in the front are new shocks a must or can I keep my stocks for a couple months?thanks

You can use the stockers, but you really should get the right drop shocks.

Like mentioned above you can, but you should get the drop shocks, they change the ride and handing since they are valved for the drop.

I agree with all posts, but would like to say that you should use your stock shocks until they wear, or start wearing out (which won't be very long).

Most of the lowered vehicles i've owned or worked on (all static drops) were able to use the stock shocks for 1-3 months and then it was about time to replace them.
