Distance Between wheel & fender

I already have a 3"F 4"R drop on my 97 FSG. I have approx. 2 1/2 inches between front wheel and fender and 3 1/2 inches between rear wheel and fender. Would it be easier to get 2" drop spindles and 3" leafs (which would only leaves half an inch between wheel and fender in front and back), or just bag it. Will only having half an inch increase my risk of my tire hitting the fender? If I should just bag it, what setup should I go with?Any help would be great. Thanks.

What does your current 3/4 drop consist of? Also, you mention bagging it a few times and I would need to know if it's in your current budget to do so? I can see you have 20's but what are your tire sizes? This will help me help you more:D.

P275/45R20 on the tires.Kit consist of 3" Drop coils, 2" drop hangers and 2" drop shackles. I would rather just drop than bag, but if there is a probability that my tire will hit my fender, then I'd rather bag. Thanks

These tires will probably not work with the 5"/7" static drop you're trying to achieve, even with the correct back spacing on the wheels IMO. I think a 4/6" cuts it really close with those tires. You'll probably be fine in the back, but up front is where the problem lies. I would advise if you want to go lower than a 4"/6" drop, get some lower profile tire. You will also have to notch the rear if you plan on going with the 3" leafs. I'm sure the guys with the older style chevys have a better prespective. :D

One quick question...why do I need a smaller tire. If I lower with the inches stated, I'll still have half an inch in front and back. Is that not enough, that's the question I've wanted to know the whole time. Is half an inch not enough. If I hit a bump while turning, am I going to take a chunk out of my tire? :confused: Please help me!?! :banghead:
