On my 97 chevy the glovebox must be slammed pretty hard to get it to close. Anyone know why this is or is that just how it is.

I've had to add a little lithium grease to lube the mechanism. It helped a lot. The latch in the door would stick and not really like to lock......

:word: i'd jus tpick up a small bottle at home depot or somewhere like that, and maybe once a year, or whatnot, give a little squirt into all your locking mechanisms, same as you do to all the lockable handles in your home.:D

mine is like that too, and I have noticed the stiker is worn out. havent had time to replace it yet, but it looks easy enough to do.
