I put installed my programmer on my truck tonight. It made a difference in power and I am impressed with everything but shift firmness. it shifts harder with tow/haul on. My friends has a 01 with a hpp3 and he chirps 2nd gear with 315/75's. Is there a way to make it shift harder? I raised it +5 for the 1-2 and with the firm shift turned on it still shifts slow.

he has a lil more poop to bark with... a 2001 vs 1999
you might wanna try
rev 6200
make sure the speedo is calibrated correctly
1->2 +2
2->3 +3
3->4 +4
shift firmness yes
try it without the engine tuning too.. may be over advancing the timing
killing the torque... secondly, your torque management is ripping
22-40° of timing retard on shifts.

I tried that and it feels stock. I guess its just going to be as firm as it is now.

What rear end gearing you running?
What is your friend running?
That will make a huge difference.
Also, your low end torque may be less since you are running straights.

we both have 3:73's and he has flows
My page is down right now (ISP is doing maintenance). Click it tomorrow and check out my settings.
I have a 2000 5.3l 3.73 truck. I can't chirp 2nd though, Torque Management won't let it happen and HPP3 cannot remove that :read:
