I'm bored as hell sittin around the house on my day off. My project for the day is to paint some interior pieces for my truck. I recently ordered the full center console from Ebay and GMpartsdirect.com but of course it was the wrong color. So, I had to paint it to match. I'm not done yet because I ran out paint but I ordered more and it is supposed to come into today. So, while I'm waiting for UPSlow (UPS) to deliver, I decided to take some "before" pics of what I will be painting today. The center console extention and my new LT/LS door panels. (I currently have the plain base model panels and since I converted to power windows, a nice big hole where the crank used to be.) I'll post more pics when the painting is completed. Hopefully that will be tonight as long as I didn't short myself on paint again.

 Did your truck not come with a full center console? And I just ordered the extension piece from Gmpartsdirect.com to add to the console I got off of Ebay. I hope it is the same color. I went to the dealer to get the part number and it said OAK. I hope it matches otherwise I am going to sh!t. The console is a light tan and that is all they had was OAK. In that picture you have...is that the so called OAK you ordered? But like you said still waiting on the UnderPaid Servicemen

Hey, the UPS guy actually showed before noon - I was shocked. My paint arrived and I could finnaly start my project. No, my truck didn't come with any console - it came with the non-folding center seat which SUX! I bought a console off eBay but it didn't come with the center extension. The console was graphite so I had to paint it. Well, it came out so good I decided to get the extension and new door panels and paint them to match. When I ordered the extension from GMpartsdirect.com, they told me they could only get it in light grey. I said "oh well" and just decided to paint it. It came out PERFECT. The door panels are from a 2002 Avalanche which explains the funky fabric above the pull handle (which I really like). Enough typing, here are the pics:

Finished door panel - turned out real nice.

Finished console extension - The flash on my camera makes the shades of tan look different but to the eye - they are a perfect match.

Here's everything installed - Now all I need is the Denali bezel. I never should have painted my original bezel in the first place.

Here's the door panel. The bezel around the door handle doesn't fit like it used to so I will have to buy new ones. Oh well.

HMM  I went online after getting back from the dealer with the OAK color part number and it took. It said "Console Extension" and then I had to order the "Bezel" as well. I hope it comes to me in the same color. Or you are the first person I am going to come to asking how to paint these peices especially if I can't return them :cussing: :bawl: AHHHH "SNAFU"

Yeah, their return policy is kind of shotty. I'm sure the person I corresponded with was just too lazy to look up the correct part number. It's a good thing their prices make up for it. Let me know if you need any help.

That look great!! I have the base model truck and would like to do that. What were the part #s for the stuff you ordered from gmpartsdirect? Where did you get your power window kit from?

Yeah, I know, thats how I like it. It just pops out and the cupholder can fit in either way. Below is a picture of the 1999 - 2002 center console with all the parts numbers. The color for the part numbers below is LIGHT GREY. I bought the power window kit off of eBay for around $100.00 and installed it myself (wasn't too bad).
