ok i have a question about my rims, i have a set of polished aluminum Classic II's and i went to the beach one week over the summer, well i clean them up and polish them with mothers mag and aluminum paste when i want em to shine and it does a great job but in a week at the beach i got corrosion spots all over the rims and my center caps rusted! :cussing:
What caused this??? how can i get rid of it??? i didnt go on the beach or in the salt water.
i have one of those polishing kits from sears that you put on a drill but it wont take it off! they look bad now if you look close, from far away you cant really notice but i know you guys are as picky as i am about your fullsize, it looks bad up close.

any tips are MUCH appreciated!

Salt air and moisture are killers of polished aluminum. If they are as bad as you say they may need to be proffesionally polished to bring them back. The Sears kit can work for you...so will alot of elbow grease.

Yes, with either money (pro polishing) or time and elbow grease.

Look in your "yellow pages" for detail shops, chrome shops and wheel refinishers. One of them can either do it or point you in the right direction.
