I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE USING THE FRONT PART OF THE CONSOLES IN TAHOES AND YUKONS ETC AS MOUNTING FOR SWITCHES- ABS PLASTIC R SOME ACRYLIC CUT TO FIT IN THE FRONT HOLE AFTER THE CD HOLDER OR CUPHOLDERS ARE REMOVED- I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS DONE THIS OR HAS PICS- I SAW IT ON CAROMDAIN AND COULDNT FIND IT AGAIN- LET ME KNOW I HAVE TO CLEAN UP MY SWITCHES I HAVE WAY TOO MANY AND NOT ENOUGH ROOM:think:

TRY FIBERGLASS. MAKE A NEW PIECE TO FIT OR JUST USE THE CUPHOLDER/WHATEVER AS A BASE. BTW, POSTS IN ALL CAPS ARE VERY ANOYING.

at the bottom is a pic of what i did for switches for my pre runner. im only using 2 right now and the other three are for whatever i decide to put (back up lights or something). i had a cd holder in there that i never used so what i did was cut the bottome off the cd holder and used the top to mount the switch plate. i traced the template on sheetmetal and cut it out and smoothed it out. reason i mounted it to the top of the cd holder is so that if i need quick access to my switches i can just pop off the cover no prob. the pic kinda sucks and i cleaned it up a lot more than what it looks in this pic but you get the idea
