do the spray stuff, much easier to do, doesnt smell, and its alot cheaper, figure 4 cans for the floor of a standard cab if you are doing the complete cab meaning no interior except dash figure about 200.00 15ish cans and a gallon of grease and wax remover. I did 15 cans in a older car I had and it made a huge difference car was so quiet going down the road. Mercedes quiet.

www.b-quiet.com get the b-quiet extreme...its essentially generica dynamat..but works way better b/c its not as thick and easily manipulative...its basically the same stuff but better IMO...i used 300 sq ft on my truck..but..as you can see in the little pic under my name..i stripped the entire interior..including dash and headliner...rides quieter than dads 7 series...the spray stuff is fckin nasty btw...id never use it again...polyfill and b-quiet extreme...cheap effective way to make the truck quiet with no rattles...

what are you putting in your truck..unless its something major it aint worth the trouble to add dynamat on a basic system

okay the dynamat wont stop the rattling...its your plastic trim pieces inside thats making the noises..to fix this you can pop them off an stuff towels and other shyt like that behind them thats what everyone else does when they have that problem

like i said..it aint worth it at all on a basic system...especially on a 2000+ truck you wont get rid of any road noise with 50-80 dollars worth of dynamat..i promise you that..the come pretty quiet from the factory....it takes about 300-400+ to completely deaden a car with extreme an thats the floor, roof, doors ect..now to pay that much to really deaden a truck...just to install a set of coax's and 2 12's on a new truck really aint worth it if its a daily driver its just dumb..trust me....poof

i used poly fill on every body panel and area that was hollow which didnt have moving parts like window motors...ie the lift gate...back quarter panels...all the plastic pieces that weren't door panels...everywhere in the truck got 3-5 layers of b-quiet extreme...including floor and headliner...if your lookin to get rid of rattles just get like 20-30 sq ft of b-quiet extreme and a 5 lb box of polyfill from walmart...if your lookin at ridin quieter than a bendz...get like 200-400 sq ft of bquiet extreme..and three 5 lb boxes of polyfill...stuff it in every crevice you can find...dont by dynamat...your wasting your money and your time cus you gotta use a heat gun to do it right..with bquiet extreme... peel...stick..done...

at no point did i say 50-80 dollars worth... and yes the 2000+ trucks come pretty quiet from the factory, but when you lower it 6 inches, add large diameter wheels, and aftermarket performance parts, it's not exactly like it is "from the factory" :read:

lowering the truck and adding larger wheels has nothing to do with any change in the sealed up cabin area...if you are getting road noise just pull the carpet and lay down a sheels of extreme and i promise you wont ever hear the mufflers again...the stock 16inch wheels are 28 inches in overall dia. i think with the tires on..so changing that to a chrome set of 20's or 22's will not add road noise..and lowering it todays kits wont make it loud either...

an adding polyfil is the exact same thing as putting towels behind the plastic panels...this is what sound off an sq people do everyday on the car audio circuit..just go to any car audio site and they will tell you to do the same...

i did not come here to start a post war..im just trying to help you out man i got a burban with 19's and a set of kicker 18's in it so i know what a truely loud system is...and im just trying to tell you the best thing to fix your problem...thats all
