does anyone with dumped exhaust get a "buildup" on the underside of their truck. i want to get turn downs under the bed, dont really like tailpipes as much as i used to, but my dad says that having the exhaust dump will over time create a buildup on the underside around the dumps? also, i figures rear exit duals spew exhaust fumes all over the front of our boat when we tow it, but will dumped do the same since it exit down and back? thanks

ok, thats what i thought thanks guys. you guys are all lowered too, so if anything the gases would be "trapped" more under you trucks than mine in the air, so im not to worried. thanks.
btw, where do you have you dumps? just over the rear axle?

I concur. Had dumped before the axle on two trucks for total of 5 years and never noticed any buildup.

For probably 4 years I had mine dumped behind the rear axle. When I got the truck bagged, I moved the dumps in front of the axle. That's been about 2 years now. Never had any buildup of crap underneath.

Carbon monoxide poisoning happens when the exhaust is not ran past the cab. As long as the exhaust extends past the cab, there shouldn't be a problem

I got a quick question on the exhaust. Im thinking of doing the dumped exhaust but.......Its ran out the back in duels right now. So im thinking of cutting it off 2-3" past the muffler and doing turn downs. Now will the tone be louder to more muffled? And would a rear slider get more exhaust fumes in the cab?

I had it like that for awhile. I have the same muffler as you. It was loud! Annoyingly loud in the cab. I ended up with about 30" of pipe. Dumped it right behind the axle up by the spare tire. I have had many compliments on the sound. I LOVE IT.
