Anyone have front billet speaker covers for the 88-94's? I was wondering if they have more clearance for speakers and if they are worth a damn.

have them on my '88, they were on the truck when i got it. i did have to put thick double sided foam tape to provide clearance. the prior owner seened to have problems screwing them down so he just siliconed them in. it finally worked loose and starting rattling:cussing: , so i used the tape to provide the clearance and to keep the from rattling, seems to work so far. i would check for mounting holes. looked like the holes in the cover had nothing to match up to on the dash:confused:

i really believe if i had the stock ones i would put them back in. there is about a 1" space between the front of the cover and the windshield that i personally dont like. it doesnt look bad, maybe odd is a good word. these are a brushed finish not polished, sometimes get a glare bouncing off inside off windshield if sun is just right. cant imagine how much polished ones would reflect, might keep that in mind:smokin: :smokin:
i'll try and get a picture up so you can check them out, if you got burgandy interior we might consider a trade.

Hmm, thanks man. They do look pretty odd. Actually I've got a beige interior though. I think I am just going to modify the ones I have.
