Going over to the dark side Jake? Good luck to you, but I would rather drive a gas chevy.
Good looking truck though.

Been there & Sold the Ford, Now I drive a 1995 GMC
I just sold a 2000 Ford Powerstroke after owning several 1500 Chevy's. The Powerstrokes are real expensive to repair. I would look for a Dodge Cummins if interested in a diesel. I've had a couple of them and they are very reliable. I personally would never buy another Powerstroke, just don't like the way they are designed.

Boo on the ford! I work on diesels and i have to admit , The fords are always coming in broke . Had very minimal chevys and honestly pretty much no cummins. And the chevys have pretty much be just the stupid injectors. Them fords go through every part that it takes to build them engines. Stay with a chevy man , you wont be disappointed.

Don't let the door hit ya on the way out
yea, i've been there too. i had a gorgeous '96 F350 4x4 with a 7.3 Powerstroke/5-speed. yes, it made great power when it would actually move...but that wasn't often. the truck always needed something. i had over $10,000 in SAVINGS when i returned from Iraq. within 6 months that F3Sh!tty had drained that account. i was flat broke and had to take out a damn loan to repair that truck just to sell it. and, i got emails from the guy i sold it to telling me how it broke on him too. i bought a 1-ton truck to be able to USE it as a 1-ton. my '91 1/2 ton Chevy can take more abuse than that POS could. and it had 130k miles on it and had only towed a motorcycle trailer before i got it (knew the owner)...my Chevy has been fed a steady diet of abuse and neglect since late 1990 and has 209k on it...i'd take the Chevy anyday.
hope you have better luck...
oh yea, speaking of Fords...my neighbor has a '07 F350 FX4 CCLB dually he'd love to sell ya. it's been on a towhook 12 times and in a shop over 38 consecutive days since he bought it new. it's got 95k miles on it...he only uses it to tow a 5th wheel. truck looks new. he wants to set it on fire.
hope you have better luck than him too. i know after i had my Ford i was RACING back to a GM. in fact, i traded that '96 for a '78 Chevy and didn't regret it ONCE.

I'm thinking about trying to keep the FSC, if my parents will let me. I think I only owe my dad about $1700. I could probably get that to him in a few months.
We'll see.
I used to enjoy doing oil changes on my 7.3...it was great fun and easy on the wallet
yes, lots of sarcasm its a pain in the ass
