1997 Chevy Ext Cab Z71

1997 Chevy Z71 Extended Cab pickup with the 5.7 automatic. Shift on the floor 4x4 not the electronic style most of these truck came with. Transmission and rearend was replaced about 40000 miles ago. Truck also has a newer radiator, starter, alternator, and few other small things I have done in the past 10000 miles or so that I have replaced. Tires are Big O XT mud tires 285/75-16 with about 70%tread left. The truck has 225,000 miles on it. Still cleans up nice but does have it's share of dings and dents nothing too big just some haildents. Truck has 3.42 gears, and still has plenty of power. It used to get around 16-17 mpg driving city, now it's about 14-15. Now for the bad, the motor is using oil. It's got a bad ring in the #3 cylinder. It's does have a miss in that cylinder. I don't have the skill to take the block apart to put the rings in it. Even as it sits it is driveable as long as you check the oil. man if i had the money. i need a good body and frame (rust attacked mine) and i would just swap my drivetrain into it.

Damn. I have a friend lookinf for a truck just like that. I might be in IN soon to pick up some Camaro parts. Ill see if he is interested.. Good lookin truck

Thanks, dont want to sell it really. But with a baby on the way I dont have the time to fix this one and My 2 Door. The motor just needs rebuilt and I dont have the time

I would love to trade it but I have to pay it off first. Their is a lien on the title from when I first got it. That's way I'm wanting to get rid of it to get rid of the payment.

It might be a while before it sells. Not in too big of a hurry, if all else fails I might just fix it. Just thought with one less payment the other one could get done faster.
